This project made provision for a Telecare service in Monmouthshire County Council area. It comprised a Manager and Support staff togerher with the installation of telecare monitoring equipment that included:

Lifeline,
Bed sensors,
Smoke Detectors,
Carbon Monoxde Detectors,
Heat Detectors,
Epilpsey Sensors,
Falls Detectors.

The project ran between 2007 and concluded in 2010 in this format.

Lack of funding, reluctance of service users to both fund the service and also acknowledge that the service is necessary, lack of pooled budgets, rural locality, lack of mobile/broadband signal.

Reduces social isolation, allows individuals to remain living at home independent and securely. Provides peace of mind that should an emergency arise help can be at hand.
